The ICDE 2016 Ph.D. Symposium is a forum where PhD students have an opportunity of presenting their
research ideas, receiving feedback from and interacting with senior members of the community. The focus of the Symposium is on mentorship and providing constructive feedback to the students. The Symposium fosters a collaborative environment, encouraging constructive discussions and sharing of ideas. We expect a number of the members of the Program Committee to attend the symposium.
This will provide opportunities for discussions and feedback.
Accepted papers will be published by IEEE, as an ICDE workshop, and will be indexed by DBLP and IEEE Xplore.
We encourage submissions from students who have not yet received their Ph.D. degrees.
A submission from students who are in early stages of their studies should clearly state the problem to be addressed and an outline of the methodology that the student plans to follow. A submission from students who are farther away in their studies should state the contributions made so
far and the work lying ahead.
